The Huron Perth Laker program took another step forward in programming for elite hockey players on Monday when they provided an Orientation Day for their athletes.
Nutrition Seminars from the University of Guelph Sport Nutrition Department, education seminars by Brian O'Reilly, goaltender specific instruction from Scott Dickie, and fitness testing by Josh Beirnes were just some of the enhanced components offered to our Lakers during their "Orientation Day".
Each team's day consisted of 2 ice sessions, team photos, fitness testing to assess the individual effectiveness of the Lakers provided summer workout program as well as nutrition and education seminars in the new Stratford Rotary Complex. This beautiful new complex made the day possible, with two ice pads and several seminar rooms, it was a symbiotic relationship with Stratford as the Lakers rented 14 hours of ice and facilities during non-prime time.

Lakers brand clothing was also available from Sales Creators, DUNNY'S, and HYPER APPAREL.
Lakers President Hugo Maaskant labeled the day a huge success and stated it was another facet of the Lakers program that sets us apart. All 8 Laker teams are underway, many exhibition games and Major Midget tryouts make for some very exciting viewing. Check out our Lakers Main Page for the next 5 days of scheduling for our teams and come out and watch Huron Perth's top minor hockey! As always Laker's games are free of charge!
