Implementation of New Goaltender Equipment Rules Delayed
In addition to the decision to eliminate body checking at the Atom level starting in the 2008-09 season, Hockey Canada at its semi-annual meeting in Calgary on November 24th decided to delay the implementation of the new rules for goaltending equipment.

The new rules for goaltending equipment will now take effect in the 2009-10 season.
