The evening began with a delicious BBQ beef on a bun meal that was enjoyed by all and capped off by two large cakes decorated with the Lakers logo.
The guest speaker was Lakers alumni Ryan “Snook” O’Reilly. Ryan was selected first overall last year by the Erie Otters in the OHL selection draft and captained this year’s Under 17 Team Ontario (champions at the Under 17 World Championship held in London). Ryan spoke on the importance of respect and its applicability for hockey players and their development.
