PJ Conlon represents ALLIANCE Hockey and the OHF at Hockey Canada Skills Challenge
PJ Conlon of this coming season’s Huron-Perth Lakers Minor Bantam team is in Quebec City this weekend to participate in the Hockey Canada Skills Challenge being held in conjunction with the 2008 IIHF World Championship.
PJ earned the opportunity to go to Quebec City as a result of his excellent performance in the Regional Skills Challenge held in Kitchener in January. From the regional testing, the skater with the best overall ranking from each OHF Member Partner (ALLIANCE Hockey, GTHL, NOHA, and OMHA) was invited to participate in the Hockey Canada Skills Challenge. PJ received that honour and will be representing ALLIANCE Hockey and the Ontario Hockey Federation (and, of course, the Huron-Perth Lakers) in Quebec City.
While in Quebec City, PJ will also take part in skills sessions and specialty clinics, attend 2008 IIHF World Championship games, and receive a jersey and other participation gifts.
Congratulations PJ, and best of luck in Quebec City!
