Lakers Alumnus Kurtis Bartliff Enjoys Successful Year
Lakers alumnus Kurtis Bartliff enjoyed a very successful rookie season with the Listowel Cyclones Jr. B club that saw him receive several awards.

Midwestern Jr. Hockey League Rookie of The Year
Kurtis secured Rookie of the Year honours for the Midwestern Jr. Hockey League. Below is a picture of Kurtis with the trophy.

 

 


Colgate University Hockey Scholarship
Kurtis has also accepted a scholarship to attend Colgate University for the 2009-2010 hockey season. Colgate University is a Division 1 NCAA school in Hamilton, New York.

OHA Junior B Player of the Year
On Friday, June 6th, Kurtis will be recognized as the OHA Junior B Player of the Year at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. In each of the various leagues of the OHA, one player is nominated from his respective league. Each nominee is judged by an independent Selection Committee, as it relates to their on-ice and off ice activities. From the nominations, the selection committee chooses a player from each category as the OHA Player of the Year.
