The Huron Perth Lakers 'AAA' Minor Hockey Association would like to Congratulate Conor Morrison on his recent selection to represent Team Germany at the World Jr. 'A' Hockey Challenge commencing this weekend in Camrose, AB.

Morrison was born in Switzerland and played five years of minor hockey in Germany before moving to Ontario. He joined the Lakers starting in his Minor Bantam year and was coached by Dennis Knox.  Conor’s Dad Dave currently scouts for the Toronto Maple Leafs and played in Germany while Conor was growing up.  “It has all come together real quickly" said Morrison, "My Dad called me on Saturday and told me playing for Team Germany was a go!". Germany opens the tournament on Monday, November 3rd against Team Canada-East.

Morrison currently plays for the Salmon Arm SilverBacks in the BCHL, leads the League with 20 goals and is 2nd overall in scoring with 35 points.

Another Former Laker is also making his mark in the BCHL. Playing for the Nanaimo Clippers, Kurtis Bartliff currently has 13 points (5 goals; 9 assists) in his rookie campaign.
