Ryan O'Reilly Scores First NHL Goal to Secure Avs' Win over Canadiens
Lakers alumnus Ryan O'Reilly scored his first NHL goal on October 15th to spoil the Canadiens' home opener and give his Colorado Avalanche a 3-2 win.

O'Reilly's goal came after David Jones' centring pass to O’Reilly in the slot. O'Reilly put a quick shot on goal that was stopped by Carey Price, but picked up his own rebound and buried the puck (see video below).

O'Reilly was drafted 33rd overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft and currently has game point streak going (1G, 2A).

Congratulations to Ryan on his first NHL goal. It's great to see him in Lakers colours again. Just like old times.
