The Huron Perth Lakers are excited to announce the Organizations first official Telecommunications Corporate Sponsor and Partnership with Wightman Telecom!

An active supporter of local minor sports, Wightman Telecom is pleased to announce their partnership with the Huron-Perth Lakers Minor Hockey Organizationfor the 2014-15 season. Founded in 1908 by Robert Wightman, Wightman Telecom has grown over the last 106 years to be one of Canada’s leading independent communications providers. Serving customers throughout south-central Ontario, Wightman provides trueFibre to the Home technology, paving the road to the future by installing fibre optics directly to homes and businesses in Listowel, Harriston, Palmerston, Mount Forest, Hanover, and Walkerton.

Most recently, Wightman Telecom launched Wightman Mobility service, giving customers the ability to have one local provider for all their communications needs. In addition to supporting youth-related activities, education, and local healthcare, Wightman Telecom firmly believes in supporting local minor sports. “Our youth are the leaders of tomorrow, and we have a responsibility to help them grow and develop. The life skills, such as collaboration and camaraderie, that children learn through participation in minor sports, can have a lasting impact,” says Hope Robertson, Marketing Manager at Wightman Telecom. Wightman’s partnership with the Huron-Perth Lakers Minor Hockey Organizationwill officially kick-off at the highly-anticipated All Ontario Bantam AAA Championship, hosted this year by the Lakers in Stratford, Ontario.
