Keaton Middleton Named to National Under-17 Development Camp

The Huron-Perth Lakers would like to congratulate Keaton Middleton (Stratford) on his selection to attend Canada's National Under-17 Development Camp from July 29 - August 4, 2014 in Calgary, Alberta.

Middleton was one of 96 skaters from across the country invited by Hockey Canada to the Development Camp where skaters will compete for roster spots on the three teams (Black, Red and White) that will represent Canada in the 2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.  In total, 36 skaters from Ontario were selected to attend the Development Camp, including 5 players from Alliance Hockey.

This past May, Middleton and Laker teammate Jared Nash played for bronze medal winning Team Alliance in the 2014 OHL Gold Cup tournament played in Kitchener.  Middleton finished the tourney with 1 goal and 2 assists in 5 games and was named Team Alliance's Player of the Game in its win over Team NOHA.  Meanwhile, Nash finished with 3 goals and 3 assists in 5 games, good for second place in Team Alliance scoring, and was named Player of the Game in Team Alliance's tournament opening win over Team OMHA Black.

Congratulations Keaton and best of luck at the camp in July.
