Minor Atoms are 2009 ALLIANCE Consolation Champions
Minor Atoms End A Rough Series Against Windsor.

The Huron-Perth Lakers Minor Atoms finished the year on a good note beating the Windsor Jr. Spitfires 3-2 on the weekend for the Pavilion AAA Consolation Championship. The Spitfires were a tough team and played very aggressive in the 5 games against the Lakers, but the Minor Atoms simply out worked them and displayed good team defence. The Lakers lost the 1st game 6-4, tied the 2nd game 5-5 and won the next 3 games 4-2, 4-2 and the final 3-2. The Spitfires had over 60 minutes in penalties with the Lakers having 54 minutes. The Minor Atoms played well with all contributing to great teamwork.

In this 5 game series, everyone contributed in points: Will Thibeault scored 3 goals, Noah Kuno scored 5 goals with 1 assist, Quinton Maddock scored 1 goal with 1 assist, Scott Chisholm had 1 assist, Tanner Hertel had 2 goals and 6 assists, Chad Treble with 1 assist, Eric Charlebois with 3 assists, Ben Derrough had 3 assists, Mitchell Newson scored 3 goals, Jacob Rooke scored 1 goal with 3 assists, Cody Treble scored 2 goals, Evan Moorehead scored 1 goal with 1 assist, Bradley Kraemer scored 1 goal with 3 assists, Brennan Stapleton with 1 assist and Justin Beuermann scoring the winner in game 5 with 1 assist to gave the Minor Atoms the victory!!!

Baily Paquette was solid in net for this series, showing great focus and determination to help his teammates clinch the win.
