Minor Bantams Tie One On with Lambton Jr. Sting
On October 26th, the HP Minor Bantams halted a 2-game losing skid with a solid 4-4 tie against the Lambton Jr. Sting.

The Lakers fell behind 1-0 with just over 5 minutes remaining in the 1st period; however, they evened the score before the intermission when Greg Williams cashed in on the powerplay, off nice assists from Jared Zufelt and Jayden Landry. The team then proceeded to nap for the first 6 minutes of the 2nd period, allowing Lambton to jump out to a 4-1 lead, with 2 of the 3 goals coming with the Lakers short-handed.

Exhibiting a lot of character, the guys did not allow the score to cause them to lose focus and they started their comeback with just under 5 minutes to play in the period. Williams (Mike Siddall, Landry) scored his 2nd powerplay goal of the game and the Lakers then pulled to within 1 before the flood when Iain Donnelly tipped in a beautiful centring pass from Matt McCrackenBraydon Blight picked up the other assist on what was the team’s 3rd powerplay goal of the game.

The 3rd period saw the Lakers come out strong, carrying the play for the majority of the period. Their efforts paid off when Williams tied the score at 4 after some tremendous cycling by line-mates Landry and Zufelt.

The game was a good boost for the team as it reinforced the fact that they can compete with any team in the league when they play their system and commit to hard work for a full 3 periods.
