Slow start not enough to cause panic
After going 7 games unbeaten (5-0-2), the Lakers Minor Midget team has fallen victim to 4 defeats in a row. Streaks in hockey run hot & cold all season long & that is definitely ringing true here.
While outshooting their opponents in 3 of the past 4 games, the Lakers have found themselves battling from behind with the lack of offensive output. The lack of scoring certainly is not a reflection of the effort put forth as for the most part the Lakers have controlled the games. A lucky bounce or 2 & the results could have very easily been reversed.
After a few solid practices this week, the team is excited & looks forward to getting back on the ice as they play 2 games this weekend. On Saturday, they travel to Hamilton & play host to Kitchener in St. Marys on Sunday.
