Chad Smalley Returns as Head Coach of Lakers Major Midget Team
The Huron-Perth Lakers are pleased to announce that Chad Smalley will be returning for a third season as Head Coach of the Lakers Major Midget team.

Chad is an Intermediate Level Coach with 16 years coaching experience – including 8 League Championships & 2 OHF Silver Medals. Prior to coaching the Lakers Major Midgets, Chad was the Assistant Coach with the Stratford Warriors ‘AA’ Major Midgets and was instrumental in assembling a team that went on to win Silver at the OHF Midget Championships & had 3 players drafted by OHL teams.

His past experience also includes being Assistant G.M. with both the St. Marys Lincolns Jr. B team and the Aylmer Aces as well as a stint as the General Manager for the Aylmer Aces. Chad is also a Player Scout for the University of Western Ontario and a resident of Stratford.

Chad is devoted to developing players to the best of his ability & helping prepare them for the next level. He looks forward to building on the success of last season & will be starting the process immediately.

Tryouts for the 2009-10 Major Midget team will be starting in August. The dates & times for the tryouts will be posted on the website as soon as they are available.
