On Labour Day Monday, the Huron Perth Lakers Major Atoms played at the St Marys Pyramid Centre against the Guelph Jr Storm. The Lakers played impressively at both ends of the ice and came away with a commanding 5-0 victory.
Offensively, the Lakers were very effective showing the Storm that they are a scoring threat and are able to put the puck in the net in several different manners.
The Major Atoms were very strong, making it very difficult for the opposition to produce any scoring chances. All 6 D-men did a great job keeping the Storm to the outside and holding the line when needed. Solid goaltending came from both Lakers goalies as they made huge saves at opportune times.
The Huron Perth Lakers Major Atoms first regular season home game is against the Brantford 99ers on Sunday September 19th @ 11:30am in Listowel.
