Fit to be Tied
The Lakers Minor Midget team has had some tough luck this season holding onto leads and the November 4th game was not the exception.

Playing against London Gold, a tough hard working competitor, the Lakers held onto a 1 goal lead until the 5:09 mark of the third period. As has been the case on several occasions this year, the boys from Huron Perth saw another lead evaporate and came away with a tie.

Goaltender Ben Errington did what all elite goalies do... he gave his team mates a chance to win the game. Collectively, it was a good effort at the newly renovated Dufferin Arena. If only our '95 Lakers luck would shine as brightly as the new lights over the Dufferin ice surface, keep working boys and it will come.

The Knights opened the scoring with a power play goal and the Lakers replied with a power play goal of their own when Michael Siddall scored in the final minute of the period.

Partway through the second the Lakers took the lead when Mac MacSorley capitalized on a Lakers' power play with Errington picking up an assist on the play.

London stormed our boys during the first 5 minutes of the third period and were rewarded with goal to tie the score and that is how things remained until the final buzzer.
