McCannn Construction has been one of Stratford's most prolific and successful construction companies for over 70 years. Started by Patrick McCann prior to WWII, McCann Construction initially did county roadwork and excavating. Because of the War, Pat had to wait four years for his order for a new excavating machine to be filled and delivered. Tough start indeed.
Over the years the company flourished and branched into gravel and sand sales and then construcution of Provincial highways and city street contracts. In the 1980s the company branched into new home construction and since then has been responsible for many of Stratford and surrounding areas premier neighbourhoods. Shortly after the millennium McCann Construction branched into the paving industry and their signature product; new condominiums. They are now the community leader in condominium sales and the future has never looked brighter.
