Minor Atoms lose to Kitchener
Written by Chris Holloway

The HP Lakers could not overcome a slow start and lost 4-3 in Kitchener Wednesday night. After falling behind 4-0 by the 10 minute mark of the 2nd period the Lakers finally woke up and clawed their way back. Camden Daigle from Patrick Holloway and Luke Gaylor got things started and then Cole Melady on a nice back-hand deke after some nice passes from his linemates Carter Servais and Brady Ballantyne. With 6 minutes to go Ballantyne converted a shot from the high slot after passes between Sam Sedley and Melady. This set up a wild finish where the Lakers did everything except tie the game. Aaron Waugh was sharp in the pipes while Melady earned the Laker Chain with his 2nd straight strong game.
