Minor Peewees Have 3 Point Weekend
Written by Ron Pryce

The Minor Peewees had a 3 point weekend defeating Hamilton and grabbing a tie vs Waterloo.

On Saturday the boys travelled to Waterloo to battle the Wolves. Not much scoring in this match, just end to end setting up a great game which ended in a 1 – 1 tie. Sheldon Pryce scored the lone goal tipping in a shot from Eric Roes, assisted by Kayden Schooley. Waterloo  also scored in the first period  but that would be all as Dylan Kints shut the door making some great saves  to preserve the 1 -1 tie.

On Sunday, Hamilton was in Goderich to face the Lakers. Another great end to end game which resulted in another low scoring game. By the end of the 2nd, the Lakers had a 1-0 lead after Blake Wideman scored on a feed from Mason Weber. The Huskies would tie the match at 1 early in the 3rd. With only a couple of minutes remaining in the game, Wideman would score his 2nd of the game to give the Lakers a 2-1 lead after a hard shot from Jack Robinson from the point. Hardy Westman did his job between the pipes to salvage a win.

Great weekend by the whole team as they now prepare for another tough weekend ahead where the boys will face the London Jr. Knights and the Windsor Jr. Spitfires.
