Huron Perth Lakers U18 AAA program is excited to announce Matt Doyle as the new Head Coach for the 2019/20 season. Matt is a native of Waterloo Region, has spent time coaching in the Kitchener & Cambridge minor hockey systems. Matt also spent some time with the Simcoe Storm Jr C (now Hespeler Shamrocks) as the Head Coach, before moving to the GM/Coach of the Burford Bulldogs last season.
Matts philosophy for success is building a culture, based around relationships on and off the ice with his players. Creating a family with in the team. Keeping a environment that players enjoy coming to the rink, enjoy working, and want to play for each other, in this environment wins & losses will take care of themselves. It is the goal of the program to develop players ready for the next step in their hockey journey.
