Minor Atoms are Getting Back in Action
Minor Atoms Gearing Up For Tournament

Over the past three months the boys from the Minor Atom team have made great progress. Coming out strong in the beginning of the year showed very well. Training these boys to play two positions in the last three months has been a good thing, although our record does not show it. Now that our lines are set and the Minor Atoms understand positioning better, we are going to change the hockey confidence of our opponents.

Playing the Sting on the weekend the Minor Atoms out played them except for 30 seconds in the second period when Lambton scored two goals. Will Thibeault scored the first goal of the game assisted by Evan Moorehead.  The second goal of the game was a deflection off a Lambton defenceman's stick on a shot by Scott Chisholm (unassisted). Lambton scored the winner late in the third period.

The last three games have showed that these top teams are beatable and our goal is to do just that. The boys are getting more aggressive and it is the best thing that they have played two positions which lets them see the ice better. Our team will mesh better now because the boys are settling in. Excellent game to all the boys: Bradley, Mitchell, Quinton, Justin, Brennan, Eric, Tanner, Ben, Scott, Cody, Will, Noah, Evan, Jacob, and Chad in the stands and Baily Paquette making great saves as always.
