Minor Atoms Finish League Play With Waterloo.
On Saturday, the Lakers had an off game against Waterloo losing 6-2. In the first period,
Eric Charlebois scored the first goal assisted by
Noah Kuno, the Lakers had a 1 nothing lead in the first period. In the second period,
Ben Derrough took a nice slap shot from the point and scored the second goal set up by
Noah Kuno and
Tanner Hertel on a power play.Waterloo tied the game up 2-2 at the end of the second period. Waterloo took over and scored 4 more goals in the third.
Baily Paquette had 45 shots on him which kept him busy between the pipes, great job Bails!!!!!!!!!!
On Sunday, the Minor Atoms traveled to Waterloo and played an excellent game, Waterloo scored the first goal but the Lakers tied it back up 60 seconds later,
Noah Kuno scored from a break out pass off the boards from
Tanner Hertel. This game was exciting with back and forth play and excellent team work by the Lakers. Waterloo scored their second goal 3 minutes after the Lakers first goal, the 2 teams battled hard but the Lakers could not tie the game up. The Minor Atoms should be proud of their hard work and good passing, these young men are
