Minor Atoms open semi-finals with dominating win
Written by Chris Holloway

The HP Lakers opened their semi-final Playoff round with a dominating 8-1 win over the Sun County Panthers. Aaron Waugh was very steady in goal and Maverick Mulder earned the Laker Chain with a strong defensive game. Luke Gaylor led the attack with a pair of goals and an assist, while Logan Harmer and Camden Daigle had a pair of goals each. Cole Melady chipped in a goal and 2 helpers and Patrick Holloway had a goal and 1 assist. Tanner Dietz had 2 assists and single helpers went to Brady Ballantyne, Luke deVries, and Jackson McLlwain.

The entire Lakers defense corps was awesome keeping the Sun County forwards limited to around 10-12 shots on goal. The Minor Atoms are now idle until next Sunday when they face Hamilton in the 2nd game of their round-robin series.
