Minor Peewees defeat Hamilton 6-2 & sweep season series!
The Minor Peewees defeated the Hamilton Reps 6-2 today in a home game at the Brussels Arena.
With the win, the Lakers swept the season series with the Reps: 5-1, 2-1, 4-0, and now 6-2.
The Lakers came out strong in the first period but it was the Reps that scored the only goal of the period to take a 1-0 lead.
The Lakers didn't let it get them down though and came out strong again in the second period. They continued to press and work hard with the result that they dominated the period - scoring an even strength goal and then following it up with two power play goals.
With a 3-1 lead going into the third period, the Lakers didn't let up and capped off their scoring of 6 straight goals by scoring three more goals in the final period. The Reps were only able to score a single goal in reply and it came very late in the period.
