Minor Peewees finish season with series against London
The Lakers Minor Peewees finished their 2006-07 season with a Playoff semi-final series against the London Junior Knights.

The Kinights won the series in three games (4-2, 3-2, and 3-0) but the Lakers played hard and competed well in all three games.

The Lakers came closest to a win in game 2 where they outplayed the Knights and had the game knotted at a tie until giving up the game winning goal in the final minute of the third period.

The Lakers improved steadily throughout the season and in the new year, after finally having everyone healthy, went on a strong run that saw them improve from 5th in the East and 10th overall to finish 3rd in the East and 7th overall. Combined with their two hard fought post-season series, the Minor Peewees served notice to the rest of the League that the team is competitive game in and game out.

Coach Neil McKeown and his staff are to be congratulated for the excellent work they have done in developing these fine young hockey players.

To all the players on the team: Best of luck in the upcoming try-outs.
