Herrfort leads Lakers to win with Hat Trick
On December 15th The Minor Atoms played a strong game against the Cambridge Hawks coming away with a 5-1 victory. The Lakers were led by Chayse Herrfort (Palmerston) scoring a hat trick in the first two periods of play, with assists going to Jacob Hrudka (South Huron), Kyle Jones (South Huron), Neve Van Pelt (Mitchell) and Cole McKee (Wingham). Two of Herrfort’s goals were shorthanded efforts, hitting the top shelf of the Hawk's net.
The Lakers continued to dominate the third period with goals from Brent West (Shallow Lake) on a pass from Ryley Cribbin (Palmerston) and Nick Jung (Elma Logan) from Jones and Dominic Burbine (Goderich) The whole team was part of this win with great passing, puck control and strong penalty killing.
