Minor Bantams Take Strong Weekend Into London Green and Gold Tournament
A pair of 4-1 wins over Waterloo and Chatham Kent last weekend have the Laker MB's playing confident, strong hockey going into their first of four tournaments this year.

The Lakers have a tough schedule in the London Green and Gold opening against the Ajax Pickering Raiders Friday morning at 10:45, the Raiders have had a strong start to the season posting a 10-1-1 record to date. The Lakers next contest 6pm Friday is against the Grey Bruce Highlanders, a much improved team over last year posting an 8-2-1 record this year, their only two losses coming from the Laker contests in pre-season. Saturday morning at 10:45 the Lakers face York Simcoe Express, a high powered team ranked 7th in North America with a 17-2-0 record and follow up Saturday night at 6 against the Jr Pittsburgh Penguins who have had a rougher start to the year at 7-11-3. The Laker Minor Bantams are currently ranked 36th in North America by midwestyouthhockey.com. The Minor Bantam ranking is one of the highest in the Laker organization shared with the Minor Peewee's also at 36th. Our Major Bantam's hold the highest ranking at 34th. The Minor Bantam squad has been one of the Marques programs in the Lakers over the years, last years Eastern Division Champions and Alliance finalists. Best of Luck this weekend MB's!
