Minor Bantams Sweep Waterloo Taking First Series
The HPL Minor Bantams continued their winning ways with three straight wins over the Waterloo Wolves to advance to Alliance Quarter Final Playdowns. The Lakers squad finished first in the Eastern Division of the Alliance and the Wolves finished fourth.
Game one in Brussels the Lakers brought their "A" game and skated to a 5-0 victory over the Wolves.
Game two held in Waterloo was a closer contest on the board but the Lakers still dominated play and came away with a 4-3 win.
Game three again had the Lakers dominate from the drop of the puck and this talented, hardworking squad skated to a 6-1 victory and series win.
The Lakers are waiting to face the winner of the Elgin-Middlesex / London series. The Lakers have played some exciting games with these clubs over the year and whatever team they end up facing will provide very exciting hockey. Stay tuned to the website for upcoming game information!
