Major Peewees Defeat Lambton
In a very tight checking game the Lakers managed to score twice in the first frame to take a 2 goal lead.
Each team managed 6 shots in the opening period.
After a scoreless 2nd period the Lakers legs were again starting to become idle and shots swung in favour of Lambton. After a few very questionable penalties, Lambton managed to score on the power play to close the gap to 2-1 going into the third.
With approximately 6 minutes to play, the Lakers would go up 3-1 on a breakaway goal which would end up being the final score. A great game played by both teams, unfortunately the end of the game would be tainted by less than satisfactory officiating that left a bad taste in the mouths of both teams. Players need to focus on playing disciplined hockey, no matter what the situation!
