Major Bantams Tie Sun County Panthers
On the Saturday, 19 Nov 11 the Lakers played their second game of the season against the Panthers in St Mary’s.
In a style reminiscent of their first meeting both teams got down to business early and played a no holds barred style of hockey which kept the puck going end to end and the bodies flying.
The Panthers went up by two goals in the first; however in the waning seconds of the 1st Kenny Huether got a goal, assisted by Zach Jacobs and Trent Dundas to close out the period 2 – 1 for the Panthers.
The second period was a see saw battle for both teams with neither team able to convert their opportunities as the Ben Larder found his horse shoes to keep the score at 2 – 1.
In the 3rd period, Kenny Huether managed to find the back of the net, assisted by Cullen Mercer and Jamie Huber on a power play to tie the score and end the game in a 2 – 2 tie
