Midgets remain perfect in 2014
The NA Engineeing Midget Lakers have hit the ice a different team in 2014.
Three games into the new year, the Lakers have found themselves undefeated after wins against Lambton, Brantford and Hamilton.
After Caleb Warren scored the tying goal before the end of the 2nd period to give his team the chance to battle for the victory, James McHugh scored his 2nd of the game with less than 2 minutes remaining to give the Lakers a 3-2 win. Jeremy Kuehn chipped in with 2 assists while Luke Medeiros, Matt Knight-Bedour, Broedy Karelse and Evan Metelski also found the gamesheet with helpers.
Ben Larder earned the win in goal by turning aside 20 shots, including a close range rocket off the throat in the 2nd.
Next game is Sunday Jan 12th when the Lakers host the Cambridge Hawks at the Allman in Stratford. Game time is 1pm
