Major Peewees Continue to Play Hard More Consistently
As the team struggles through some injuries they continue to work hard defensively , not giving up many goals , but also having a tough time scoring.
With 3 great battles recently , Waterloo winning 4 - 1 , Eric Roes with the Laker goal assisted by Sheldon Pryce and Nolan Gagnier .
Then a 2 - 0 loss to Sun County in a barn burner of a game with no scoring till the 8 minute mark of the 3rd , then gave up an empty netter in the last minute of play . The Lakers had many chances to score in this match with the puck rolling across the crease a couple times and just couldn't get a bounce to go Laker's way . Hardy Westman played a great game in net again keeping the team in the game until the end.
To Hamilton the team would go , and another tight match until the last few minutes ending in a 4 - 1 loss with an empty netter . The Laker Goal with a bar down snipe scored by Aly Mcleod , assisted by Mitch LaFay and Sheldon Pryce . Carter Roth was solid in net again also keeping the game close giving the squad a chance.
The Lakers have closed the gap on the score board with all the teams in the Alliance in both divisions . The goals will come and so will the wins as they continue to put forth a solid performance each night !
