Paul Barton appointed Minor Midget Head Coach
Paul Barton has been appointed as Head Coach of the Huron-Perth Lakers AAA Minor Midget hockey team for the 2007/2008 season. Paul, who hails from Stratford, has coached in both the Huron-Perth Lakers AAA organization and the Stratford Minor Hockey organization over the past several years.
Paul brings a wealth of hockey knowledge & expertise to the team. Paul captained the University of New Hampshire Division I USA college hockey team in his playing days after receiving a hockey scholarship to their program and knows the USA college system well.
Paul will continue the development of the Minor Midget team who last year won the Alliance Eastern Division Championship. He believes he has the team to once again challenge for the league championship and the OHL Midget Cup Championship.
"This is a very talented and committed group of young men who are capable of competing with the best teams in North America. It is a pleasure to coach this team and I look forward to a very successful & rewarding season."
