Minor Midgets Finish Regular Season Off With 3 Straight Wins
The Huron-Perth Lakers AAA Minor Midget hockey club finished up their regular season schedule this past weekend with 3 straight wins over the London Jr. Knights, the Cambridge Hawks, and the Waterloo Wolves.

On Friday, Jan. 18/08 they played the London Jr. Knights in Hensall with a 1-0 win for Huron-Perth.  Lakers scorer was Dean Klomp (St. Mary's), assisted by Tyler Durst (Goderich) & Connor Devereaux (Seaforth)
Huron-Perth goalie:  (shutout) Baird Kelly (Stratford)

Saturday, Jan. 19/08 they played the Cambridge Hawks in Brussels with a 4-2 win for Huron-Perth.  Lakers scoring by:
Sean Consitt (Hensall), assisted by Patrick McLellan (Mitchell) & Brandon Chaffe (Wingham);
Haden Campbell (Stratford), assisted by Dean Klomp & Tyler Bryson (Exeter);

Sunday, Jan. 20/08 vs. Waterloo Wolves played in Goderich, 5-2 win for Huron-Perth.  Lakers scoring by:

The Lakers finish their regular Alliance League season with a 17 win, 7 loss, 8 tie record, tying the Brantford 99er's for 1st place in the East Division.  Brantford is awarded 1st place based on their head-to-head record against the Lakers.  The Huron-Perth Lakers will start their playoff drive this week against the Kitchener Jr. Rangers.
