U10 Lakers clinch spot in Alliance Championship!!
It was a great defensive weekend for the young Huron Perth Lakers as they skated to back to back shutout wins. On Saturday it was convincing 6-0 win over a very hard working Cambridge Hawks team and Sunday would see them pull out a hard fought victory versus division rival Brantford 99ers by a 2-0 margin.
The 4 points would see them end the weekend with 10 points and secure a spot in the Alliance Championship in Komoka from April 12-14. The U10's finish up the playoffs with a home game vs Kitchener on Saturday and then a trip to Brantford to take on the 99ers on Sunday. The 0ther 2 spots are very much up for grabs in the competitive East division. We'll see who is joining the Lakers once the dust settles!!
