With an Overall Record of 54-16-3, the
Nickel City Sons AAA Major Peewee team had a successful and enjoyable year. Like every team, they had their fair share of challenges & the boys accepted them head on.
The team finished First Overall in the NOHA regular season and went undefeated in the Playoffs.
They competed well at the tournaments entered, earning a Silver Medal at the Steel City International tournament in Sault Ste Marie. At the Valley East Progressive Rep Tournament, the team earned another Silver Medalist while competing at the AA Minor Bantam Category. In Sudbury, the team enjoyed a Semi-Final appearance at the Big Nickel Tournament.
Most notably and showing true community spirit, the boys participated in the CIBC Run for the Cure raising just over $1000 for cancer research.
