Laker MP's Finish Regular Season Smokin!
The Huron Perth Lakers Minor Peewees finished their regular season Saturday with a decisive 7-0 win over the Cambridge Hawks. The win gave the Lakers squad 3rd place in the Eastern Division with just 3 points separating the top 3 teams. 22 regular season wins and 47 points was a huge accomplishment over the previous year but the Lakers squad is going to relish the underdog position going into the playoffs.

The HP Laker Minor Peewees treated their spectators on Saturday when they came out firing from the drop of the puck. Short the services of Brody Tenpas and Jared McCann, the squad knew they would have to play well to finish their season with a win and play well they did. The Lakers squad finished hits, beat their opponent to every loose puck and won every battle. 2 first period goals, 2 second period goals and 3 third period goals had the fans witness a terrific team from the drop of the puck to the game's conclusion. When the dust settled the Lakers had outshot their opponent 43-15 and had allowed just 1 shot in the third. This effort and their incredible motivation at the moment will serve them well in their playoff run.
