Rematch against Highlanders a Tough Battle
On Tuesday, August 30, 2011, the Minor Peewee Lakers faced the Grey Bruce Highlanders. The Highlanders came ready to fight hard for the puck after being defeated a few days earlier.

With 50 penalty minutes between the two teams, it was a challenging game of hockey as most of the game was played without a full complement of players on the ice. The Lakers found themselves in a difficult situation as they fell behind 2-0 after the Highlanders scored a pair of power play goals.

The Lakers battled back though and at 3:35 in the second period, Evan Dowd scored for the Lakers with his signature back-hand, with assists awarded to Brady Hinz and Malcolm McLeod.

Then, with the clock ticking and only 35 seconds left in the game, Brady Hinz scored a short-handed goal for the Lakers, unassisted, as the Lakers narrowly squeaked out a 2-2 tie.

Way to go Lakers.
